Out-Patient Department
The WCRC has a dedicated outpatients department open 5 days a week for referrals. This is a “one-stop” service composed of a team of professionals working together to ensure that all clients are given the opportunity to achieve their highest functional outcome levels.
The OPD Team consists of:
- A doctor
- Nurses
- A social worker
- A physiotherapist
- An occupational therapist
- A dietician
- A Pharmacy
- An X-ray department
- A wheelchair repair workshop
- A woodwork area
- A seamstress
Functions of this team include:
- Screening of clients for admission to the WCRC in the form of paper or online referrals or physical evaluation of clients.
- Medical and therapeutic treatment of clients.
- Co-ordination of admissions to the WCRC.
Clients may request their current service providers to access this service through the completion of the ‘Referral to Rehabilitation or Long Term Facility’ form or they can contact the WCRC directly to make an appointment for screening with:

On the day of their visits to the OPD, clients must please bring with them a referral letter, current medication, and any assistive devices that have been issued or purchased.
